Yesterday I went to the 93rd Annual Kite Festival at Zilker Park. The last time I attended, I shot it as a high school intern at the Austin American Statesman. Covid cancelled the kite fest the past two years. It’s return and the perfect weather brought people out in the thousands.

It is the first freeze before sunrise of 2022. A morning hike at Bull Creek is the best way to start the day. I got one shot of the colourful sky before gray clouds rolled in. Sadly there was no humidity, frost or steam rising from the water.
